Consolidating the Northeast as the fastest growing region in Brazil and ensuring the economic and social expansion of all Northeasterns were the basic concepts that inspired the creation of the Northeastern Consortium. A movement of unity between 9 governments, 9 states, 9 cultures and one target, sustainable growth.
Partnership is an instrument to ensure joint actions that would not be viable in isolation. In addition to exchanging technology and knowledge, states will be able to organize joint projects aimed at integrating cross-border infrastructure, concomitant procurement to secure more attractive offers and various other cooperations to bring more investors closer to the region.
With more than 57 million inhabitants and the second largest regional GDP in Brazil, accumulating R $ 910 billion in 2018 (IBGE), the Northeast region is strategically positioned as the nearest gateway to European countries. The infinite diversity of possibilities will be the main attraction to boost investments and seek partnerships in all major centers in the world.
Privileged by the climate, the land and its working people, the Northeast unites to show the world a potent place in all regions and welcoming by nature.
From tourism to the establishment of technological and industrial hubs, the northeast region has left behind underdevelopment concepts and has entered a steady path of growth, becoming the second most consumed region in the country. The permanent work of the 9 states has yielded the region an average growth of 3.5% per year since the beginning of the 21st century – superior to any other in Brazil.
Developed on the principles of sustainability and cooperation, the Northeastern Consortium is born with a duty to further strengthen the 9 states, but with a commitment to contribute to an even more inclusive Brazil
